Animal Line of Bodybuilding Supplements: The New Alpha Testing Program is on the Way
August 5, 2004 - Animal, a division of Universal Nutrition, a sports nutrition and supplement manufacturer based in New Jersey, began the new Alpha Testing Program for product X02 scheduled to be released in late summer 2004. This Alpha Testing Program will put product X02 to a test and offer real world results from regular lifters as well as several professional bodybuilders and powerlifters.

95 Alpha Testers selected from registered users at www.animalpak.com will receive a 3-week cycle of product X02. Participants will submit weekly reports and monitor their progress. At the end of the program, Universal Nutrition will examine both objective and subjective responses and announce the results on www.animalpak.com. Objective measures will include bench press, squat and deadlift changes among others. Subjective factors will assess various perceptions such as increased strength, energy, and recovery as well as reduced fatigue.

This is the second Alpha Testing Program for Universal Nutrition. The first program put Animal Nitro, a new essential amino acid product, to a test in the real world. Of the 52 Animal Nitro Alpha Testers, all but three experienced one kind of gain or another. After three weeks, the average bench press (one rep max) increased by 4.7% or 12.88 lb. Nearly 60% of the Alpha Testers saw an increase in their bench press (one rep max) between 6-45 pounds. The average deadlift (one rep max) increased by 18.07 lb. after only three weeks. Over 65% of the Alpha Testers saw their deadlift increase by between 6-45 lb. And finally, with the squat, the average increase was 21.52 lb. 73% of the Alpha Testers experienced a gain in their squat between 6-55 lb. Subjectively speaking, of the respondents, 49% said they experienced better recovery when using Animal Nitro; 68% said their strength increased; 48% noted more energy; and 37% experienced less fatigue. These results were after only three weeks of using Animal Nitro.
